In the industrial civilization of Atlas, a once successful cartography company owned by a passionate grandfather is taken over by a new boss after his retirement, making business run thin day by day. Nearly on the brink of financial ruin, the new boss has one final plan to bring success back to the business: a final excursion to make a map of Atlas Descent, an infamous and dangerous uncharted ruins of legend within the middle of Atlas, in which many have tried to map out, but none have returned. With the crew’s families and livelihoods on the line, the cartographers make charting the place of legend their magnum opus, determined to rid of the boss’s greed - or die trying.
